Sathsathai is a women-focused non-profitable organization established in November 2021 with the aim to develop women’s leadership by breaking conventional belief systems and prevailing religious and socio-cultural taboos that inadvertently marginalize and discriminate against women. The organization is trying to develop visible role models who push social conventions and lead lives of intent, impact, and adventure across multiple careers. Sathsathai believes in women’s participation in climate advocacy and action, nature conservation, tourism promotion, and achieving meaningful representation of women in the country-to-global sustainable development agenda.

It encourages women to initiate leadership for different activities, including through travel and targeted campaigns, by coming out of their comfort zones and inspiring others to do the same. It is why Sathsathai focuses its programs/activities on targeting strong, dynamic, and charismatic women who rise above the conventional norm and set new standards of their own. In the long run, the organization wants to develop a network of women champions who believe it is in their part to give back for the good of the larger society.

Among its recent engagements, Sathsathai supported the National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC) in its ‘Adopt an Animal Campaign’. The adoption campaign is an effort to engage individuals, corporate and government sectors to build solidarity for wildlife conservation by promoting avenues for personal human-animal relationship building. Sathsathai was able to bring
Sathsathai Foundation Women United for Climate Justice a wave in the adoption campaign. Sathsathai also organized an exclusive trekking trip to the Annapurna Base Camp led by female guides. The trip was a unique blend of women-led outdoor adventure, advocacy for nature, and nature-based tourism promotion. One of the major takeaways from the trekking tour was a demonstration that women of different ages and walks can together as a team can take on adventure and develop confidence in all aspects of their lives. Sathsathai though a young organization, is gradually getting noticeable attention from several NGOs, International Non-Profitable Organizations (INGO), and government-level stakeholders, as well as private entities through its unique and innovatively, approach to woman-focused initiatives.
